Hungry cowboys wait for no man. They fill their plates, fill their bellies, and then move on so stragglers can fill their plates . . . Cowboys eat first, talk later and so will you when you’re served this favorite.


  • 4 lbs 75% lean ground beef
  • 2 large onions chopped
  • 4 oz container sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 32 oz bag frozen veggies (your choice)
  • 2 12 oz cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 bag frozen tator tots
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese



  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Brown hamburger, onions, and mushrooms (drain) Add flour, salt, and pepper – mix well
  3. Divide meat mixture in half – place in bottom of two 9×13 pans Top with frozen veggies
  4. Place soup in bowl and mix until creamy spread over veggies, place tator tots over veggies
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at 350
  6. Remove, add cheese, and cook for more 15 mins
