There is nothing quite like a creamy, no-bake layered dessert. Especially when those layers are chocolate and peanut butter.


  • 20 Oreo cookies, divided
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1-1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar, divided
  • 1 carton (16 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
  • 15-20 miniature peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding



  1. Crush 16 cookies; toss with the butter. Press into an ungreased 9-inch square dish; set aside. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter and 1 cup confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
  2. Fold in half of the whipped topping. Spread over crust.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped peanut butter cups. In another large bowl, beat the milk, pudding mix and remaining confectioners’ sugar on low speed for 2 minutes Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set.
  4. Fold in remaining whipped topping. Spread over peanut butter cups. Crush remaining cookies; sprinkle over the top.
  5. Cover and chill for at least 3 hours.

Prep Time: 15 minutes - Cook Time: 3 hours Yield: 9 servings

  • I made this for an Easter dessert. So good and so easy!! I froze it until I needed to transport it by car an hour away and it was a perfect consistency when it was time to serve.

  • For the recipe as shown in the picture, it is a small box…BUT you could use a large box if you wanted to as well.

  • How would this hold up if made 2 days before serving, and stored in refrigerator? I could freeze but don’t want it to change the consistency.

  • It SHOULD hold up just fine. I only say should because I have not tried it…but with the ingredients used, it should not be a problem. Just be sure to cover well in plastic wrap.
