Braised Sprouts with Pine Nuts
These Braised Sprouts with Pine Nuts are an easy side dish of Brussels Sprouts that are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Brussel sprouts, halved or quartered, depending on size
- Pine nuts (raw or minimally roasted)
- 2 gloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tbs. olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
- dash of nutmeg (optional)
- handful of chopped kale (optional)
Instructions
- Sautée all but pine nuts over medium heat until bright color develops. Add pine nuts, cook for another few minutes.
