Chocolate Peppermint Bark
This Chocolate Peppermint Bark recipe was so easy to make! It was my first year making it and I will definitely do it again. The only hard part is crushing all the little peppermint hard candies.
Ingredients
- 8 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 8 oz bag of real white chocolate chips
- Peppermint candies, for garnish, divided.
Instructions
- In a double boiler, melt down the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir in peppermint extract.
- Spread that onto a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper.
- In a double boiler, melt down the white chocolate chips, then stir in the crushed peppermint candies.
- Spread white chocolate and peppermint mixture on top of dark chocolate layer.
- Before white chocolate hardens, garnish with additional peppermint candy pieces.
- Allow to cool, then break into pieces.
