My friend gave me this recipe 30 yrs. ago and my husband made it when I was sick ,subbing for me and claimed it as his own and he doesn’t cook! He is now infamous for it in our friends and family. He always revels in the praise he gets. He even makes it in our RV , as it is so easy. I do dare attempt to make it as it his his recipe now. Men are funny and territorial that way. Wish he claimed more recipes! Trust me it is a winner ...

My family loves this recipe. The only thing I wonder about is why it’s so hard to mix the cream cheese and evaporated milk. Is there a trick to this?
Just set the cream cheese out for a bit, and let it soften up some. Things should be much easier to mix then.
